The Middle School ACE Academy is an exciting week-long program for middle school students. The camp will focus on airplanes and flying, the theory of flight and aviation history, and aviation careers. It will delve into real world aviation applications, exploring thrust and vectoring, flying radio-controlled aircraft, understanding aircraft construction, and a design project of building and launching a rocket. Students will be able to attend field trips to learn more about aviation and will get the opportunity to fly in an airplane.

Locations:

Guilford Technical Community College - located at the GTCC Campus on the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC. This camp begins Monday, June 14th and will end on Friday, June 18th. and will be a day camp from 8:30am to 6:00pm. Cost per student is $125.

Elizabeth City State University – This camp begins Monday, July 5th and will end on Friday, July 9th. The day camp runs from 8:30am to 6:00pm each day. Cost per student is $125.

Charlotte-Monroe Metro Region – The camp begins Monday, July 12th and will end Friday, July 16th and will be a day camp from 8:30am to 6:00pm. Cost per student is $125.

Winston-Salem Region – This camp begins Monday, June 14th and will end on Friday, June 18th. The day camp runs from 8:00am to 5:30pm each day. Cost per student TBD (To Be Determined).
